late in the last millenium i created a sculpture, in about 2 hours and entirely from surplus materials, as an entry into a corporate competition to express the idea of the "bright future" we all had in store.
it surprised me by winning the grand prize, thereby gaining a rather embarassing assessed worth for a pile of junk, no matter how cute.

subseqently, an image of it was edited into a musically oriented background
and for a long while that image graced the homepage of ncp.
alas, it's too big and takes too long to download, so it's been retired to here.
